Based on decision of Croatian Employment Fund Board, the measure Employment retention incentives (COVID-19 and earthquake) for March 2021 has been prolonged for April.
The Croatian Employment Fund is stating that for April the employment retention incentive is possible for employees employed no later than 31 March 2021, and for March for employees employed no later than 28 February 2021.
Additional income comparison periods for employers established in a particular period (depending on when they actually started business activities):
- Employers established before 1 April 2019 who have not immediately commenced their activities (in terms of revenue generations): the first full calendar month of business activities (determined as the first month in which the first invoice was issued);
- Employers established after 1 April 2019 who have not immediately commenced their activities: the first full calendar month of business activities (determined as the month after the month in which the first invoice was issued).
Applications for employment retention incentive for March and April can be submitted from 1 April to 23 April 2021, and from 24 April to 21 May 2021, the payment of employment retention incentive will be approved for April 2021 only.
