On religious holidays, members of certain religions in the Republic of Croatia have the right to a non-working day, as follows:
- Christians who celebrate Christmas on January 7 that day,
- Christians who celebrate Easter according to the Julian calendar on Easter Monday,
- members of the Islamic faith who celebrate Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha one day of their choice for each of these holidays,
- members of the Jewish faith who celebrate the Yom Kippur and Rosh Hashanah holidays one day of their choice for each of these holidays.
If a holiday or non-working day is a Sunday, holiday, or non-working day, it is not carried over to the next day. Employees in the Republic of Croatia are entitled to salary compensation on holidays and non-working days.

MONTHLY FUND OF HOURS
The monthly fund of working hours is the monthly sum of hours according to which the salary is calculated, and it is divided into working hours and holidays. Thus, the monthly fund includes holidays and non-working days, which fall on days from Monday to Friday.
In 2022, we will record a total of 2080 hours, of which 80 will be holidays, and we will have 250 working days, of which 10 will be holidays. Check the fund of hours by months in the overview below.
